Basko vom Fachenfelde      VPG 3, IPO 3,  ZTP SG 1 A

Basko was Judith's first dog. He was an elegant, square and very strong brown male with strong bones, correct back, who fell for its enormous chest depth in the eye.

pedigree

Basko was presented very often on dog shows. You can see his successes at the bottom of this side. Unfortunately Basko was used only 3 times in the breed. Later it turns out, that Basko was the ideal partner for females with low stimulus threshold and nervous behavior.

When we met us in 2006 Judith had already trained with Basko and had passed the IPO 3 with him.

But the education of Basko was full of mistakes and immature. So we decided to change the whole training with him.

Although this change has not been completed yet and Basko had inadequate training, Judith & Basko could already qualify themselves for the DV-DM in 2007.

In 2008 both should not be able to participate at the DV-DM. Armin start to handle and compete with him parallel with his Malinois Goyar in the autumn. In 2009 he won the state championships of the DV and they were qualified again for the German championship.

In October 2009, they started at the German Championship of the DV in Dillingen (Saar). Not only the helperwork in the protection, also the track area was very demanding. In addition, the judging was very correct in all parts and to all participants.

An absolutely worthy German Championship. Everything was fair and understandable.
A fact that you will unfortunately miss more and more at championships of other associations.

Basko reached the 6th place and this was a very good result with a 8 year old Dobermann. Judith was so happy, that Basko could show what talent is in him. But we decided on this day not to go further to the IDC-WC in 2010.

By working with Basko Judith has learned so many things of dogtraining. His successes are more than what you can dream of your first dog.

His best single results were: A:100, B:97, C:97. His best trial result 292 p.

In 2010 was diagnosed an extremely rare, incipient, bilaterallaryngeal paralysis at Basko, which unfortunately was inoperable. Basko should upset not know what was to be avoided, but not always. Especially when he saw the rabbits in our gyarden or the adjoining forest. Initially he calmed down from the indicated respiratory distress again very quickly and had a very high quality of life, as his health was otherwise in top shape. He could just not right to take on the training field, or leave him unattended in the garden playing, as, even in old age still showed a very high willingness to work and train.
Length vacations (Italy, France) were no problem for him. In advanced stages, however, prolonged the recovery sequences.
Taken together with a very sultry day weather finally led to a collapse of the lungs, from which he could'nt recover on his own. Even after several hours of treatment by the vet was no hope, and we had to let him go out of his misery. Throug his unique character, we often think of him. He will remain for ever in our hearts.
