had already passed the SchH 3, but still hasn't worked for one year.

With this dog Armin has still some, if not even most things in dog training learned (see below).

pedigree

When Armin was searching for a good GSD he heard per random that the owner of "Clip vom Roten Falken" had to give up the dog sport, for vocational reasons. Had he seen not recently a Malinois with name "Cartouche vom Roten Falken " on a Koerung 3 of the DMC? That was the decisive point to interest nevertheless now in this Malinois.
After a lengthy discussion with Clip's owner, we agree and Armin is still grateful to him for allowing o take Clip with him.

Three months, after "Clip" was with him, he does the ZTP and Show in the DMC.

Armin go to the first competition, the government championships. There expected him a very good participant field (25 to 35 participants) with prominent dog handlers, who created themselves easy, to qualify for the German Championships.

All his trial results are at the bottom of this page.

Government master became however "Clip" with 290 points, and - around it to anticipate in the three following years also.
To win three times one behind the other, that did not have no handler reached since 16 years, four times one behind - nobody.

But then in this year however some training errors stepped to the daylight.
At first Armin had little problems in tracking, but they left with the right training. In protection work, the dog was trained so well that we worked almost nothing news, even every 2 weeks a little "wake up" and the obedience.
So nobody could give himself that pride having built up this dog or trained specifically in protection work, after he was mine.

The obedience made to Armin as even more trouble.
It is not the same, to participate a dog only once in the year on a club examination or to participate with him for several times on higher competitions.
Armin was still irresolute whether he wanted to take over or amend the training with "Clip" such a way before.

Debt assignments are here however wrongly at the place. Rather it was Armin's indecision and uncertainty with which heI trained and demonstrated the dog afterwards on a competition.

Armin had his experiences with the GSD's, but "Clip" was nearly always a step ahead. "Clip" was not only an extremely drivefully dog, it was in addition also still intelligently, like nearly all Malinois are. A characteristic which you can't find today at many dogs.
It applied to find now a suitable training concept in the subordination.

In the next year ArminI participate with "Clip" for the first time on the DMC-Championat.

They reached the 5. Place and were qualified to the German Championship for all Races (VDH DM) and the World Championships for Belgian shepherd dogs (FMBB WC) in the following year.

On the VDH DM they reached with a little mistake in the track the 12. place, with dHV DM the 5. place.

With the following FMBB WM in Harderwijk (NL) "Clip" and Armin missed the track, the obedience was for the state of training at that time o. k., the defence work was, up to a big error (- 10 Pts.) otherwise very well.
But the nonexistence of a competition or examination belongs also to the dog sport.

2 weeks later Armin had announced for the DMC-Championat.  With a little luck, in addition, solid training we reached the 1. place with (100 - 90 - 99).

The comment of the judge in the defence work started with the words:
"Yes..., this is what we all want to have. If you saw this work, and compare it with that of your dog, then you know, where you are standing... "

On the other hand some people guessed to Armin to terminate now the sporty career with "Clip" because he could probably not reach more with this dog, because of his "bad" obedience. Armin was surprised that other people mean to know his dog better, as he himself.

At the following FCI WC it was the 4. Place in the single (96 - 90 - 100) and that 1. place in the crew valuation.

Two weeks later then still dHV-DM came, where we reserved the 8. place.

Now in the winter we had time for a break again, in order to strengthen the training with "Clip". By a balanced and a through roof unit training with the suitable concept in all departments we prepared for the coming season.

Than comes the VDH-DM (qualification for the FCI world championship).

With his new kind of training in the obedience, they reached the 1. place with (100 - 92 - 96).

After a won department competition (100 - 92 - 100, whereby the not implemented seat exercise cost us 3 points) the FMBB WM in France (near by Bordeaux) would be very soon (2 weeks later).

Here they reached the 1 place in the single (100 - 94 - 100) and also in crew valuation.

By the way, Armin & Clip were the first German team, who had the luck to win the FMBB World Championship title and "Clip" was with these preceding world championships the only dog, who reached the maximum points in the protection work.

A similar achievement he could show us directly in the connection, 1 week later at the DMC-Championat:
3rd place (99 - 90 - 98).

Then Armin made a longer break, before he started with easy training again. Later Clip hurt himself very heavily in the defence work due an error of the helper, so that Armin decided not to participate on the following VDH DM qualification and other examinations in this year.

They had still qualified myself for the FMBB WC in the coming year, but Armin didn't want to participate because of two reasons:
On the one hand Armin had prospect on a vocational advanced training for himself of several years, which would take him up much, and on the other hand he wanted to expose to a 8 years old dog, which had done and had reached so much for him, not again the fastidious training of a WC.

Due to Armin's inexperience with the race-specific characteristics of the Malinois and the training errors resulting from it "Clip" couldn't show his qualities in the obedience, which actually slept in himself.

This realisation is today still part of our training with dogs. Despite these mistakes he created it however nevertheless to bring always examination a becoming dog here to an increase in output. 1 year after "Clip" came to Armin, was the obedience - however only with test so toughly and hold back, which was to be obtained thereby only a "property" to "middle property". During his training in the subsequent years he could transform this into a sturdy "middle much property". Thus the way he worked with him, it can't have been so wrong at all.

From now he enjoyed to live in the house. When he was 10 years old, he did FH 2 with 100 points and died at the age of nearly 11 years.
